Trace, a Web3 sports marketing platform, has launched digital collectibles on the Sui blockchain in an innovative move to strengthen fan engagement, according to the Sui Foundation. The plan includes collaboration with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) to mark key moments at the Nitto ATP Finals, scheduled to take place in Turin from 10 to 17 November 2024.
Sui’s Dynamic NFT
Trace’s digital collectibles, known as Traces, leverage Sui’s dynamic NFT technology. Unlike traditional static NFTs found on other blockchains, these dynamic NFTs can evolve based on real-time inputs and events, providing fans with a visually rich and immersive experience. Each Trace represents a unique visual depiction of an event, carefully crafted based on data.
Momentum Collection
The first collection, called Momentum, is a limited edition series comprised of official memorabilia from the ATP Finals. Each trace in the Momentum collection corresponds to a singles match during a tournament. Notably, these collectibles are available for free to fans for a limited time only, in conjunction with each specific event. This approach not only improves fan interaction, but also presents a new way to distribute sports memorabilia.
innovative technology
Sui’s kiosk functionality underpins the ability to set rules for these NFTs, facilitating enforceable royalties and transaction parameters. Trace also uses Sui’s zkLogin technology, allowing fans to earn Trace without a Sui wallet. Fans can conveniently log in using their existing credentials from platforms like Google and Facebook, lowering the barrier to entry for sports enthusiasts.
A new era in sports memorabilia
This partnership between Trace and ATP marks a shift towards digital engagement in the sports industry. Trace is leveraging blockchain technology to redefine how fans can connect with their favorite sports moments, creating a unique memorabilia experience for the digital age.
Fans interested in participating in this innovative venture can earn a unique Trace at the Nitto ATP Finals, further bridging the gap between traditional sports and cutting-edge technology.
