Velodxio is one of the latest in a series of cryptocurrency trading scams going by the name ‘Velod’, such as Velod AI.
Velodxio bills itself as a legitimate cryptocurrency trading platform, but in reality it was set up by scammers to steal money from investors.
Victims are often introduced to the Velodxio platform by someone they met on social media, often in a romantic context.
They are encouraged to invest large amounts of money and at first everything seems to be going well and ‘profits’ accumulate in their accounts.
But when they come to withdraw all their money, their account gets blocked with scammers demanding hefty fees to release the money.
However, no money is ever returned to victims and scammers will continue to demand money.
How to Identify Velodxio Scams
Like other platforms with similar names, there are some signs that can tell you that this platform is a scam.
These include:
- It is a rudimentary website design with no real functionality whatsoever.
- There is no regulatory agency or licensing information or certification.
- It is a brand new domain name and similar to other scams.
- There is no social media or companion app.
- We don’t have the prospective company or deal information you’re looking for.
- There is no information about the team or location behind the platform.
- There are no details as to how unrealistically high profits can be achieved.
I was scammed by Velodxio. Can I get my money back?
The chances of getting your money back from this type of cryptocurrency scam are very low.
However, it is still important to gather as much information as possible about what happened and pass it on to authorities.
There are also private companies that can help, as I wrote here.
