Working against Kraken is a lawsuit filed last year by the SEC, the agency responsible for approving Kraken’s public listing. It is worth noting that several other exchanges and brokerages have sought listings, including Israel-based eToro and CoinDesk’s parent company Bullish, but have been blocked by the SEC. If the conversation expands beyond the US market, the EU’s Bitpanda and Mexico’s Bitso should also be on the lookout.
