Warmhole Governance requires Solana delegation after launching W token to improve decentralization. The representative plays an important role in the governance ecosystem.
WORMHOLE GOVERNANCE began a public request for the Solana delegation as part of the effort to distribute the protocol after W token’s successful launch. According to the official WORMHOLE blog, this movement has made a big change in improving the governance structure in the WORMHOLE ecosystem.
I understand the role of the representative
The delegates are individuals or organizations delegated to vote on behalf of W token holders. This mechanism is designed to actively participate in the decision of governance of people with time and expertise to participate entirely in the development of the platform. The representative is expected to provide transparency in the decision -making process and to critically analyze the proposal and vote accordingly.
Responsibility and participation
The delegates must try to maintain information on the platform’s proposal, to participate critically and to vote regularly. Some can make a precautionary approach by preparing a proposal and participating in the committee, but others can choose a more passive role, focusing on reviewing and voting. There is no compensation program for delegates, but it can be changed if it is proposed and approved within the governance framework.

Interested individuals can be a representative by creating a profile in the governance platform, Tally. The term for delegates is indefinitely, and it lasts until the token holder is no longer delegated.
Multigov introduction
