Coinbase International Exchange announced that it will soon be adding three altcoin derivatives. Polkadot (DOT), Internet Computer (ICP), and NEAR Protocol (NEAR) are added to the list of supported altcoins.
The goal is to provide users with access to a broader range of innovative cryptocurrencies.

This strategic expansion will begin with the opening of the DOT-PERP, ICP-PERP and NEAR-PERP markets. Ultimately, this highlights Coinbase’s vision to diversify its products. This launch, scheduled before 10:00 UTC on February 22, 2024, marks an important milestone in the exchange’s journey to embrace altcoins.
Despite the significance of Coinbase’s announcement, Polkadot, Internet Computer, and NEAR Protocol have all suffered sharp declines over the past 24 hours. DOT, ICP, and NEAR prices fell 2.69%, 4.05%, and 4.99%, respectively.
