Welcome to the world of Yugalabs, where simplicity and innovation meet in the NFT space. Our last update on the biggest Web3 companies was back six months ago, when we looked at their game releases. A lot has changed since then. Let’s take a look at some of the recent highlights and what makes Yugalabs a must-visit destination in the bustling NFT world.
Magic Eden Partnership
First, we are excited to announce our latest partnership between Yugalabs, a leading marketplace for NFTs, and Magic Eden. This collaboration opens up exciting new avenues for our community, making it easier than ever to find, buy and sell your favorite digital collectibles.
In support of this partnership, Magic Eden announced last night that all existing NFT volumes on Ethereum will be credited to the Diamond Rewards Airdrop Program. These arguments are scheduled to begin next week, so stay tuned. (Follow us on, I will make sure to notify you.) This means that you can receive this airdrop if you have purchased or sold Yugalabs NFTs in the past. Kudos to the clever move.
However, there are rumors that Magic Eden will charge royalties in the future. NFT traders have become accustomed to low to no royalties through Opensea’s Blur and Private Deals. So, we’ll have to wait and see how this bold move will impact the collection and rock-bottom price.
Moonbirds (Proof) Acquisition
Breaking news! Yugalabs recently acquired the Proof Collection, known for its fascinating Moonbirds. This acquisition, which consists of an all-stock transaction, marks a significant milestone for Yugalabs in 2024 as it expands its growing portfolio.
The community wasn’t very happy about this news, as they felt the focus was spread too widely among the dozens of collections under the Yugalabs umbrella.
New leadership, same vision For Yugalabs 2024
In a recent reshuffle, respected CEO Daniel Alegre handed over the baton to none other than Yugalabs founder Garga.

This is a surprising move as Daniel’s experience at Google and Blizzard will definitely help Yuga launch the game it is developing.
The community took this as good news, as the founders returned to Yuga’s core beliefs and the “club” they had carefully built. They even gave it some needed focus by announcing that BAYC would be a separate LLC going forward.
BAYC Lowest Price Roller Coaster
If you’ve been keeping an eye on the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) floor prices, you’ll know that they’ve been pretty high lately. Over the past few months we have seen fluctuations between 20 and 26 ETH. Pudgy Penguins are also getting closer to Apes now!
Despite low sentiment, 2024 has seen some surprising selling, such as the Gold Ape of Franklinisbored for 275e ETH. Alternatively, a tricolor-skinned monkey wearing a crown sells for 110 ETH. However, this beautiful gold specimen is currently priced at 395 ETH, the bottom of rare gold properties. We’ll see if it goes on sale soon.
Yuga’s other collections, including MAYC and Gamefi NFTs as Otherdeeds and HV-MTL, seemed to slowly decline over several months.
The only one holding out is CryptoPunks, which has a bottom of 56 ETH.
Next stop: February 27th Otherside Trip – “Apes Come Home”
The next Otherside trip is just around the corner, so mark your calendars! The event, scheduled for February 27, promises to be a homecoming celebration for all “apes.” Get ready to dive into a world of immersive experiences and interact with fellow Apes as you travel around the world in BAYC’s 3D model!

After the previous two days of successful Otherside demos, this demo is very exciting as it will allow users to test their apes and digital identities in the Metaverse for the first time.
Dookey Dash is back!
The incredibly popular game Dookey Dash is set to be re-released in the coming weeks. The game opened for three weeks last year and was token-gated (you had to own an NFT to play). However, anyone can play the revamp, including updates, for free! Last time, the winner took home a unique NFT and sold it for 1000 ETH.
Although players won’t be able to win NFTs this time, there are rumors that Yugalabs will raise the prize pool to $1 million.
last words
BAYC Clubhouse, announced in 2021, is still in production. This “real” clubhouse is expected to open in 2025, but the Yugalabs team is still vague about the details.
