According to AssemblyAI, the AssemblyAI app for Zapier has been improved to provide greater flexibility, more features, and tighter integration with the Zap editor.
Updated Transcribe Events
The Transcribe event, previously known as “Get Transcript,” now includes all the options available in AssemblyAI’s Transcript API. This update allows Zapier customers to take advantage of speech recognition and audio intelligence capabilities. Users can set language codes, punctuation, and case-sensitivity options. Additionally, a new “Wait for transcript to be ready” field allows users to start writing a transcript while performing other tasks simultaneously.
New Event
The updated AssemblyAI app for Zapier introduces five new events.
- Get the script: Retrieves previously created copies.
- Get the script subtitles: Generate STT or VTT subtitles for your script.
- Get the manuscript paragraph: Search the transcript separated by paragraph.
- Get the manuscript sentence: Search the transcript broken down into sentences.
- Get the edited audio results: Get the results of the PII audio editing model, including the status and URL of the edited audio file.
Challenges of LeMUR integration
AssemblyAI points out that the Zapier platform currently lacks the capabilities needed to support LeMUR, an LLM framework for speech understanding. They are exploring various avenues for future support, but no timeline for integration has been provided.
