Google searches for the term “Bitcoin” (BTC) hit a one-year low during the week of October 12, 2024. Out of 100, global interest in that search term had fallen to 33% by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, the search volume for ‘Memcoin’ was 77 out of 100 during the same period, but has not yet surpassed the previous high of 100, achieved at the end of October 2023.
However, CryptoQuant CEO and founder Joo Ki-young believes that memecoin search volume will recover to previous highs by the end of October 2024, as market interest in these digital assets remains high.

Memecoin will become the best-performing digital asset sector in 2024
