Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has questioned the ability to maintain Etherrium’s relevance for the next decade.
On April 23, at the AMA session, Hoskinson warned that Ethereum could face mass -user migration as the current structure is uniform under the scaling pressure and internal non -efficiency.
According to him:
“I don’t think Ether Lee will survive for more than 10 to 15 years. The tier TWO will continue to drive alpha, people will start fighting, and it will be more and more difficult for Vitalik to catch it together through the power of the single, and the user will gradually move elsewhere.”
Hoskinon finds defects in Etherrium architecture
He insisted that Ether Lee’s architecture and governance models are creating long -term vulnerabilities. Cardano founder pointed out that network users are gradually moving to alternative platforms as Layer-2 (L2) solutions begin to dominate network activities.
He said:
“They need to find a way to keep the hierarchy from parasitic. And unfortunately, I can’t see the way to make it easier. It will be a very hostile divorce to solve these types of things.”
HOSKINSON also criticized the basic components of Ethereum, including interest proof systems, accounting models and virtual machines. According to him, many of these problems have been avoided and despite the pushbags of the industry, the Ether Leeum Foundation’s decision.
He added:
“They have the wrong accounting model, have the wrong virtual machine, and have the wrong consensus model. All of them were voluntary wounds: people told them not to do so.
Despite his harsh criticism, Hoskinson welcomed the suggestion to replace the RISC-V, a more efficient guideline set architecture RISC-V, a recent Ethereum co-founder of Ethereum.
This upgrade aims to optimize the execution class without interfering with the developer’s experience and to maintain its robustness and Vyper in major programming languages.
He described the change as a positive thing, but emphasized that the technology upgrade alone does not solve the deeper problem of Ether Leeum. From his point of view, Ethereum may be more than an adaptive network unless the accounting model is re -designed.
He said:
“I think it’s good to go to RISC-V. It’s a really good decision for Vitalik. It has a lot of meaning. But the accounting model must be slightly modified.”
