Kronos (CRO), a leading blockchain ecosystem operated by Ethereum and Cosmos, recently announced a partnership with Exaion, a subsidiary of EDF, Europe’s largest power group. According to Cronos, through this collaboration, Exaion will join the Cronos EVM network as a validator node, further strengthening its commitment to participate in leading blockchain protocols.

Exaion joins Cronos as a validator

Exaion’s integration into the Cronos network is an important step toward improving the stability and security of the blockchain. Exaion will play a key role in decentralized transaction verification by becoming one of 32 validators for the open-source Cronos EVM protocol. Validators are responsible for creating or verifying new blocks approximately every 5-6 seconds and contribute to both governance and network updates.

This partnership is consistent with Cronos’ strategy to collaborate with open source contributors and validators with recognized technical expertise. Other notable contributors to the Cronos ecosystem include Crypto.com, Blockdaemon, and Allnodes.

Strategic Development and Community Impact

Emphasized its importance. “It brings new talent and expertise to the ecosystem and strengthens Cronos’ participation in the French blockchain community.”
