El Salvador moves $400 million in BTC to cold wallets, more than double its known reserves

El Salvador became the first country to purchase Bitcoin as a government bond asset in September 2021, with a single coin costing about $52,000. The price of BTC on Thursday exceeded $72,000, but in the last 24 hours the asset has traded above $73,000 and as low as $68,000.
