We’ve all been pretty busy with everything! I will try to keep this post out there. In the meantime, be sure to check out Ben Edgington’s article. What’s new in Eth2 to solve your problem.
tuning Heavenly Virtual Summit This Thursday and Friday! It’s 100% full of excellent eth2 content. free. We would like to thank all the organizers for their hard work in transitioning online. I’m really excited 🙂

Double Bounty Reward
start today All rewards are Phase 0 pre-launch bounty program It’s doubling. Up to $20,000 for serious bugs!
This program is designed to provide incentives. you To find and report bugs in the core Eth2 Phase 0 specification before mainnet launch 🐛.
The Ethereum Foundation will run this program from now until just before the Phase 0 mainnet launch. After Tier 0 is produced, we will convert Tier 0 bounties to standard. Ethereum Bounty Program.

Schlesi multi-client testnet
April 17, first eth2 multi-client testnet — Shlessi — Born!
Schlesi is an eth2 multi-client effort led by Afri Schoedon, and this current iteration of the net is the first sustained multi-client testnet. A huge shout out to Afri for their hard work in getting the various clients to interoperate, filing detailed bug reports along the way, and building a network that has already been around for several weeks!
The backbone of the network began with: prism and LighthouseBut since then both cloud and ocean The synchronization was successful and we are in the process of getting the validator to work smoothly. Please confirm Doodle In the testnet block Many people have been tagged While the client/build and others have some funny messages.
Schlesi may also change to: that much We plan to build a multi-client testnet over a few iterations, but for now we expect the net to look like this: Restart once every 1-2 weeks As bugs are discovered, versions are bumped up and more clients come online.

preparing v0.12
Most of my time recently has been spent preparing for: eth2 spec For semi-major version bumps v0.12. Unless any security-critical items are discovered, this will be the last specification change before the mainnet. The release includes: draft 7 Includes the IETF hash-curve for BLS, ongoing improvements to the network specification, and some non-substantive changes to state transitions to aid testing.
The IETF BLS standard has been a point of excitement and stress in the eth2 process. On the one hand, we want to adopt well-tested industry standards and benefit from more powerful tools and cleaner interoperability. But on the other hand, the standardization process is an external dependency that we cannot fully manage. Each update brings significant changes to the eth2 specification, requires some development work to implement to meet the specification, and introduces uncertainty into the schedule.
The IETF specification maintainers are satisfied with Draft 7 and no further changes are expected in the queue. The Eth2 team, along with several other blockchain projects, plans to adopt Draft 7 at this point and will consider subsequent changes only if security-critical issues are discovered.
When it comes to networking, we’ve been very productive. call me this morning Hash out granular details about initial synchronization, peer discovery for specific features, type-based message size limits, etc. Check out Ben Edgington’s work great notes To summarize 🚀
