Ethereum layer-2 solution Blast continues to be a profitable place to make money. On Thursday, Twitter user Punk9059, a well-known pseudonymous cryptocurrency individual, said he made over $100,000 in cryptocurrency by posting two tweets primarily related to the Pacmoon meme coin.

“I got paid over $100,000 for two tweets,” Punk9059 tweeted. “The crazy thing is I had no idea that was going to happen.”

Pacmoon is a meme coin on the Blast network that launched its mainnet in late February. The Blast network has garnered significant attention, securing a total valuation of over $1.4 billion ahead of the BLAST token airdrop scheduled for late June.

Meme coins are tokens based on internet memes, celebrities, and brands. Pacmoon uses Pac-Man-inspired visuals and rewards social media interaction and community engagement by giving supporters tokens to share relevant content.

I got paid over $100,000 for two tweets 🤯. The crazy thing is, I had no idea that was going to happen.

A story “only found in cryptocurrency.”

Showing off the tweets, Punk9059, who works at Memeland and was previously at Proof, said the first tweet was on February 28th announcing a free airdrop of Pacmoon (PAC) tokens to Blast stakeholders along with his referral code. Of course, it was a popular tweet, but the mistake resulted in greater benefits than expected.

“This tweet went viral,” said Punk9059. “People were copying/pasting the text. And my friend (Frank DeGods) accidentally tweeted my code instead of his.”

Frank DeGods, also known as Rohun Vora, is the founder of the DeGods and y00ts NFT projects and has a significant following on Twitter. His misguided referral code sharing ultimately benefited Punk9059 greatly. However, at the time, the value of PAC tokens was not very high.

Punk9059 said he gave Frank $50 as a thank you after he accidentally tweeted the wrong referral code. And the tweet, which included a photo of Frank holding a $50 bill while Frank9059 hugged him, also went viral, reaping even more rewards.

He received 354,179 PAC tokens for referrals, followed by 698,137 PAC tokens for tweet views, for a total of 1,052,316 tokens. This equates to $168,370 as of Thursday. As of this writing, that tally is worth about $218,000, up 7% for the PAC in the past 24 hours.

“There were a few more tweets in the mix, but these two got the lion’s share of the action,” said Punk9059. “The best part? My followers also saw the tweet and signed up, so I got a W.”

“We will accept it,” he added.

Punk9059 did not immediately respond. detoxification Request for comment.
