The price of MAGA (TRUMP), Donald Trump’s largest emoji coin, has surged more than 30% since the assassination attempt on the former president while he was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
According to DexScreener data, MAGA MemeCoin (TRUMP) surged from $6.31 to $10.36 immediately following the assassination attempt, and its overall market cap jumped from $293 million to $469 million in less than 30 minutes.
President Trump was speaking on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 when several shots were fired from an unknown direction into the crowd.
Trump clutched his ears as shots rang out and he fell to the ground, while Secret Service agents rushed to protect him.

President Trump asked his Secret Service agents to pause as he walked off the stage, then raised his fist and shouted at the crowd.
An official Trump campaign spokesperson told The Associated Press that the former president was “fine” and receiving treatment at a local hospital following the incident.
“President Trump would like to thank law enforcement and first responders for their swift action to address this evil act,” spokesman Stephen Cheng said in a statement. “He is doing well and is being evaluated at a local medical facility. More details will be provided at a later date.”

Following this news, prices of several other Trump-themed meme coins also rose.
TREMP, a Solana-based MIME coin, surged more than 63% in the hour following the news, while the MAGA Hat token briefly surged 21% in the same period.
Trump’s odds of winning soar on Polymarket
Speculators on Polymarket, an Ethereum-based prediction market, were quick to place bets, too. According to Polymarket data, Trump’s odds of winning the upcoming election jumped from 60% to 68% immediately after the assassination attempt.
Meanwhile, current President Joe Biden’s odds of winning the election were predicted to drop from 30% to 15% in the same period.
Trump is currently the favorite in prediction markets, with an overall 70% chance of winning, while Biden has 15% and Vice President Kamala Harris has 9%.
