Morgan Creek Capital’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) has revealed his top five altcoins for the new year.
In a new interview on the Altcoin Daily YouTube channel, Mark Yusko mentioned some of his top token choices, including prominent smart contract platforms Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA).
Other digital assets on executives’ list include XRP, a digital asset associated with Ripple Labs, memetic asset Dogecoin (DOGE), and layer-1 blockchain Hedera (HBAR).
“I’m pretty partial to Solana. I must say this. I mean, they did a good job convincing me and luckily we didn’t sell the last bag and the price went from $13 to $240, so I think it’s pretty good.”
Yusko went on to say that if he had “money to lose,” he would bet on ADA,
“If I had money I was willing to lose, I might actually own some (ADA, HBAR, and XRP) because I think I could literally lose it. because…
Depending on this ‘czar’ position and how it all works out, could we see a world where we say, ‘You know what?’, as a bridge to the future (meaning incumbents don’t want to move on tomorrow)? Okay we will either use XRP or we will use Hedera and it will be a cryptocurrency.’”
Concluding with DOGE, Yusko said that not owning the best meme token is a bet against billionaire Elon Musk.
“Obviously don’t bet against Elon. DOGE is probably not the dumbest thing in the world. “I’m kidding because I thought it was pretty stupid, $0 billion to $60 billion, but I’m a stupid person, but that’s probably it anyway.”
