The BNB chain announces PASCAL HARD Fork to improve Etherrium compatibility, and introduces basic smart contract wallets and improved encryption. It is scheduled for Testnet in February 2025 and Mainnet in March 2025.

The BNB chain is ready to implement PASCAL HARD FORK, a significant upgrade to improve Etherrium compatibility. According to the BNB chain, this upgrade, scheduled for February 25, 2025 and mid -March 2025 in mid -March 2025, introduces a new feature to improve the function and security of the blockchain.

What is Pascal hard fork?

PASCAL HARD WORK is designed to strengthen the function of BNB Smart Chain by integrating the function of Ethereum’s PECTRA upgrade. The main features include introducing basic smart contract wallets and improving security measures.

Basic smart contract wallet

As summarized in the 2025 technology roadmap of the BNB chain, the implementation of the smart contract wallet is the main focus. Based on the EIP-7702 of this wallet, this wallet aims to provide users with more flexible account management options. The new features include simpler account recovery, multi -signing support and expenditure limits and batch transactions to improve security.

Improvement of security and encryption

The fork also integrates BEP-439 (EIP-2537) to improve encryption with the BLS12-381 curve. This curve is suitable for blockchain applications because it can combine multiple digital signatures into one to make transaction verification faster and more efficient. In addition, the unique mathematical structure reduces calculation and increases speed and memory efficiency.

Impact on users and developers

User:

The upgrade is automatically generated, so the general user of the BNB chain does not have to take action. Most distributed applications (DApps) continue to work without interruption. However, DAPPS users who are sensitive to changes in gas costs should pay attention to the platform’s update.

Developer:

Developers are recommended to make applications compatible with new changes. You need to explore the use of the smart contract wallet to improve your security and user experience and test the application strictly in the updated BSC Testnet before the Mainnet upgrade.

Future development

PASCAL HARD WORK is a pivotal stage in the continuous development of the BNB chain and has opened a way for subsequent upgrades. LORENTZ WOK, set in April 2025, reduces block intervals to 1.5 seconds, reduces Maxwell fork in June 2025, and reduces block intervals to 0.75 seconds. Such development is part of the promise of the BNB chain to improve performance, scalability and user experience.
