I am planning to buy about 1kW of power and participate in ASIC mining. I have solar panels at home, but there is only so much power available to my home during the day. I didn’t pick a specific company, but Goldshell seems to have some interesting options. Is it possible to programmatically control an ASIC miner and set it to stop and start at specific times? Controlling it using a PC or Raspberry PI is fine, but I can’t find any reference online to an API that would allow me to control it remotely (unless I use the web interface).
Has anyone ever done that before? Can you point me to a source that explains it in more detail?
