The Sui blockchain ecosystem has experienced significant growth in recent months, and the native Sui (SUI) token has continued to rise along with it. Ramani Ramachandran, co-founder and CEO of Router Protocol, told Cointelegraph that this is thanks to the great developer experience and community in the Sui ecosystem.
Ramachandran said Sui combines the easy-to-use Move programming language with a simplified interface for end consumers, making the blockchain ecosystem attractive to developers. The CEO told Cointelegraph:
“The interesting thing about Sui is that the founders are invisible, but they are doing something right because the developers are talking about them. A lot of developers are talking about how great Sui is. Sui is truly amazing.”
“The community and vibe have been great,” Ramachandran continued, praising the Sui developer community as a sustainable ecosystem, positioning it as a counterpoint to other alternative layer-1 projects floundering after token creation events.

Monolithic blockchain has laid its foundation
Monolithic blockchains like Sui and Solana outperformed other ecosystems during September, according to VanEck’s October report.
Sui saw a 140% increase in daily active addresses during September. This increased network activity has led to increased demand for the SUI token, which now has a market capitalization of $9.9 billion.
In early 2024, K33 Research published a report highlighting Sui’s potential as a Solana competitor. Likewise, the report highlighted Sui’s architecture as a key factor that makes the blockchain attractive compared to other layer 1 blockchains with more complex programming languages and developer tools.
On November 22, asset manager Franklin Templeton partnered with Sui to explore developing applications in the movement-based blockchain ecosystem.
Sui’s high throughput (the ability to process a large number of transactions per second) and low latency make the Sui network attractive for applications that require frequent updates, such as video games.
Sui blockchain network developer Mysten Labs has announced a portable gaming PC scheduled for release in 2025. This PC is optimized for blockchain and traditional PC gaming.
