What are the chances of former US President Donald Trump winning the presidential election? rose On decentralized prediction market platform Polymarket, it was 50.6%, surpassing current Vice President Kamala Harris’s 48.4%.

Stakes for Trump and Harris have been going back and forth over the $1.3 billion Polymarket bet ever since incumbent President Joe Biden withdrew from the election in July. While Harris led the polls for much of September, betting on a Trump victory has increased this month.

“Trump is currently ahead of Kamala in betting markets by 3%. “It’s more accurate than public opinion polls because real money is at stake.” wrote Tesla CEO Elon Musk on X notes rounded percentage results from Polymarket poll. Polymarket’s prediction is different from the original. National opinion poll average The New York Times has Harris ahead at 49% and Trump at 47%.

Musk for Trump

On Saturday, the tech billionaire made his first appearance at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. That’s where the former president barely survived an assassination attempt. Wearing a hat with the slogan “Make America Great Again,” Musk called Trump “the only presidential candidate who will preserve American democracy.” According to a report by AP News.

Cryptocurrency has emerged as an important topic in the 2024 presidential election, as Trump has repeatedly made clear his support for cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and DeFi. After remaining silent on the topic for several weeks, Harris said last month: I’m going to do ~ Encourage the growth of “digital assets.” Matt Hougan, CIO of Bitwise I spoke to The Block last week. Harris is raising more uncertainty for cryptocurrencies, despite saying that “no matter what happens, cryptocurrencies will win.”

The 2024 US presidential election will be held on Tuesday, November 5.
