Disney and Dapper Labs are collaborating on a large-scale NFT venture to bring 100 years of iconic Disney cartoons and characters on-chain.
The two companies announced the launch of Disney Pinnacle, an NFT platform that will bring “the magic of pin collecting to the digital age.”
In addition to a century of Disney characters, the platform will give users access to Pixar icons and heroes and villains from the Star Wars galaxy.
Collect, trade and share Disney NFTs across the network.
According to an announcement from Dapper Labs, these characters and icons will be available as separate collectible and tradable digital pins.
“Disney Pinnacle is an entirely new product designed from the ground up to incorporate everything we’ve learned over the past few years.Roham Gharegozlou, co-founder and CEO of Dapper Labs, said in a statement.
Disney fans can collect, trade and share verified digital collectibles across the network, with each collectible charting its own trading journey.
“Fans can collect dynamic Pins from anywhere on their phones and trade with each other instantly and securely, no matter where they are in the world.“Gharegozlou added.
Disney Pinnacle, built on the Flow blockchain, is scheduled to launch later this year. The platform is available on the Apple App Store for iOS.
