With Kraken Wallet, we are committed to providing an intuitive, seamless, and secure on-chain experience. Today we’re excited to unveil a new set of tools to help you explore the vast world of on-chain. And our new Explore page is at the forefront.

Whether you’re new to on-chain or a seasoned expert, Explore pairs with our new in-app browser to connect directly to dApps within Kraken Wallet. This latest update allows for seamless on-chain usage.

What’s new with Kraken Wallet

Home screen updated with new navigation bar

We’ve introduced a small floating navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. The home page button now appears as a wallet button, a new navigation page has navigation buttons, and the WalletConnect button has been moved from the top right.

New navigation page

The Explore page is a dynamic hub within Kraken Wallet that organizes all of your favorite on-chain content. For new users, this is a great place to get started with popular and trusted dApps in DeFi, NFTs, and more. For experienced users, it provides quick access to favorite on-chain destinations. We have plans to evolve our navigation pages over time, including introducing dynamic content, the Ink experience, and more.

In-app browser that allows direct dApp connection

You can discover interesting dApps through the explore page. Once you find something you’re interested in, you can now view and interact with it directly through Kraken Wallet’s new in-app browser.

You can easily connect your wallet to any dApp and sign transactions within your default browser. Can’t find what you’re looking for on the Explore page? Use the search function at the top of the screen and use your browser to find it.

Enhanced Security

We always keep security and privacy at the forefront of our development. In addition to new secret recovery phrase tools like iCloud Backup, we’ve partnered with Trail of Bits to conduct an additional security review of the in-app browser. You can find the report here.

Start exploring

  • First, you need to make sure you have cryptocurrency in your wallet. You can send crypto to your Kraken wallet, import it from another wallet, or withdraw it directly from your Kraken account to your Kraken wallet.
  • Next, use the navigation bar to select a navigation page.
    • Press the button in the center of the compass-shaped navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the navigation page.
  • Choose the right dApp
    • Select one from the list provided or enter the name of the specific dApp you are looking for in the search bar at the top.
  • Connect and interact with dApps using the in-app browser
    • Look for the connect button, wallet logo, or login button to connect your wallet to the dApp of your choice.
    • This will display the dApp’s preferred connection method. You can find the Kraken wallet icon and connect to it. If you don’t see the Kraken wallet icon, you can connect using the mobile wallet button or WalletConnect.
      • (Note: Each dApp is different, so how you connect to a specific dApp may depend on what the dApp supports.)

Explore with us today

The navigation page and in-app browser are just the beginning, giving Kraken Wallet users a new, seamless and secure way to get the most out of their on-chain journey. Over the coming months, we will continue to improve both capabilities, adding more powerful tools for better dApp connectivity and interoperability, and more personalized ways to discover opportunities.

We’re so excited for you to explore this new chapter with us. Please visit our Explore page today and let us know what you think. We’re always looking for more ways to improve your experience.

Are you ready to explore? Download Kraken Wallet now or update the app from the App Store and unlock the full potential of Onchain.
