Litecoin (LTC)
“LTC is now on Solana,” the hacker wrote in a now-deleted and grammatically incorrect post. This post contains a Pump.fun link to the contract address and fraudulent tokens.
In an update, the Litecoin team said it had regained control of the account and that the hack was caused by a compromised delegation account that has since been removed.
A series of account hacks have occurred on X in recent months, promoting fake tokens or phishing links designed to steal funds and sensitive data.

X account hacking is on the rise
Restake protocol EigenLayer’s X account was hacked on October 18 to promote a fake airdrop campaign.
Hackers posted several malicious links from an account promoting a “Season 2 Stakedrop” (which the scammers claimed came from reallocated EIGEN tokens) before the EigenLayer team regained control of the account.
On November 3rd, rapper Wiz Khalifa’s account was hacked. The hacker used this account to advertise a fake celebrity meme coin called WIZ and claimed that the meme coin was associated with a singer.
The Cardano Foundation’s
At the time of the incident, the threat actor falsely claimed that the Cardano Foundation would stop supporting its underlying asset, ADA (ADA), due to a lawsuit from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The fake tokens generated around $500,000 in trading volume before the fraud was exposed, sending the price of “ADAsol” plummeting by more than 99%.
Yat Siu, co-founder of Web3 company Animoca Brands, became a victim of X account hacking on December 26.
As in other cases, scammers used the account to advertise fraudulent tokens, namely fake memecoins from the Solana network called “Animoca Brands,” which has no connection to the well-known Web3 company.
